What it is

Pian Yin (偏印) is the element that generates the Day Master at the same polarity — Ren water to a Jia wood Day Master. Its older name is the Owl God (枭神). Generation between two of the same polarity is given without warmth, so the nourishment comes with conditions and distance. Indirect Resource governs unorthodox learning, specialist skills, intuition and solitude.

Its most famous warning is "the Owl steals the Food" (枭神夺食): Indirect Resource controls Eating God, so a chart that lives on Eating God — talent, livelihood, enjoyment — finds that channel blocked.
