Qi Sha (七杀) — Seven Killings

What it is

Qi Sha (七杀) is the element that controls the Day Master while sharing its polarity — Geng metal against a Jia wood Day Master, for instance. It is also called Indirect Officer. Control between like polarities is unmediated, which is where the name "killing" comes from: it stands for pressure, competition and crisis, and equally for the nerve to meet them.

The governing principle is that restrained, it becomes authority. Shi Shen controlling Qi Sha, Resource transforming it, Yang Ren harnessing it — a harmful god brought under management is read as a strong pattern, indicating command. Unrestrained, the same force is simply pressure, and a weak Day Master carries it badly. This is the single most important thing to check before reading anything else into it.

Temperament

A well-supported Qi Sha shows as nerve and decisiveness — a natural handler of crises, someone whose output rises with the stakes. Loyalty and a certain gravity usually come with it, along with a habit of treating obstacles as logistics.

The tendency to watch is that the same directness reads as force when there is nothing to temper it, and that a life organised around high stakes does not rest easily.

Career and wealth

The fit is with high-pressure, high-consequence work: law enforcement and military, surgery and emergency medicine, competitive sport, the difficult phase of building something. This is the ten god of hard campaigns.

Where Qi Sha is transformed by Resource, leading and holding command suits; where it is controlled by Shi Shen, the better route is mastering a craft that governs risk technically.

Relationships

Traditionally Qi Sha is read as the unconventional-affinity star in a woman's chart, and a chart mixing Officer and Killing is read as a more complicated relationship line; clarifying it in one direction reads as more singular. Strong Qi Sha tends to come with clear likes and dislikes and a protective streak, and relationships ask it to hold the controlling impulse in check.
