Qi Sha (七杀) — the star
The General · Yang Metal · authority when it meets the Emperor
What the star is
Qi Sha (七杀) is Yang Metal in the Southern Dipper, the general among the fourteen, governing severity, authority and the opening of new ground. The classical line is that Qi Sha meeting Zi Wei transforms into power — a fierce commander who has found a ruler worth serving turns force into command and results.
Qi Sha always sits in triangular relation with Po Jun and Tan Lang, forming the Sha-Po-Lang (杀破狼) group. A chart built on it is a chart of movement and upheaval: the pattern shows itself through swings rather than despite them.
Note that Qi Sha also names one of the Bazi Ten Gods. The two systems share a character and a temperament, but they are read by different rules — do not carry a conclusion from one into the other.
Temperament
Fierce and self-contained, warm under a cool surface. Decisions come fast; once a target is set, the tendency is to commit fully and leave no line of retreat. Independence runs high and supervision sits badly.
The tendency to watch is that the same decisiveness spends people and energy quickly, and that a life organised around campaigns has no natural pause built into it.
Career and wealth
The fit is with military and policing, surgery, competitive sport, founding, and sales that has to break through — high intensity with real consequences. Qi Sha is the point of the spear; a comfortable sinecure wears it down faster than a hard campaign does.
Income tends to track the campaigns: substantial when one lands, thin between them. Building a floor during the good phases is the practical counterweight.
Relationships
Affection and dislike are both direct, and there is little appetite for settling. Marrying later, and with someone genuinely tolerant, is the classical advice. Learning to leave the campaign posture at the door is the first lesson this star sets in a relationship.
